blöde Motor-, Add Blue im Pepper wieder auftauchte. Nervös fuhren wir Richtung Gent, überlegten verschiedene Varianten, wie wir mit der Tatsache, dass der Weinsberg nach 400km Laufzeit ( nach Fehlermeldung) aussteigt.

Der Campingplatz war der Einfachste auf unserer Reise, wobei die Stellplätze für uns grossartig waren. Allerdings waren die Toiletten UND die EINE Dusche eine Frechheit….nicht nachmachen.

Als Erstes ging der Pepper am Nachmittag zu Peugeot, in der Zwischenzeit gabs die vorgekochten Spaghetti und um 17:20 stand das WoMo mit zurück gesetzter Fehlermeldung wieder auf dem Platz.

Wir kämpften mit der Hitze, der langen Fahrt und dem eher spröden Charme von Gent. Auch in 2016 hatten wir Anpassungsprobleme, in 2025 waren wir nur Zaungäste. Wir erliefen die Innenstadt, der Genter Altar blieb uns auch dieses Mal unerreichbar, da die Kathedrale bereits geschlossen war. Gent brummte, die Belgier genossen das hochsommerliche Wetter und am Ende sagten wir „ gut das wir nochmal drin waren“.

Burg Gravensteen ( Burg der Grafen) eine der größten Burgen in Europa, erbaut um 870 und in bemerkenswert guten Zustand.

Zu guter Letzt fanden wir mittenmang der geschlossenen Läden noch einen Stand mit Genter Bonbons….lecker

Erwähnenswert ist noch die Graffitilane, ein wanderndes Kunstwerk. Von den gesprayten Werken aus 2016 ist quasi nichts mehr vorhanden.

Zurück auf dem Campingplatz ließen wir ausklingen, bewunderten den dritten Westie von gegenüber und gingen nach einem Schlummertrunk in die Heia.

Wohl einer der präsentisten Filmtitel, die mir in Bezug auf Städte und Reisen einfallen.

Ich war bereits 2x in Brügge, siehe folgende Berichte:  https://allcontinentsinonelife.com/?s=Brügge und verneinte einen Ausflug mit Aida vehement. Im Vorfeld bereits einen Shuttle organisiert und relativ relaxt in den Tag gestartet.

Wir gehörten zum ersten Shuttlebus und gegen 10:30 bezauberte uns die Schokoladenstadt.

Über Minnewater ging es in den Begijnhof und von dort in die Innenstadt. 

Neben dem Grote Markt bewunderten wir auch den Belfort/ Belfried und aßen stilecht Pommes. Mit dem berühmtesten Blick auf Brügge kehrten wir ins einzige, geöffnete Restraurant in der Nähe ein und aßen stilecht Moules Frites.

Gegen 16:00 Uhr nahmen wir den Bus zurück nach Zeebrugge und waren mehr als rechtzeitig wieder an Bord.

Abends zog es uns in das East Restaurant, mittelmäßige asiatische Küche erwartete uns….es langte alle Male.

Im TV gab es eine bemerkenswert schlechte Leistung der deutschen Handballer und um 22:00 Uhr lagen wir in der Heia. Für mich gab es noch Netflix- die Brücke.
