knapp weiterlesen →]]> Unser Abschied aus den Albanischen Alpen war ein wenig wehmütig, wurde aber durch die Wetterneigung arg erleichtert. Im Nieselregen zogen wir von dannen. Da wir noch vor 9:00 Uhr „on the road“ waren, hielt sich der Gegenverkehr in Grenzen, dieser kam erst in der Ebene hinzu.

Kurz Skhodër angekratzt, befanden wir uns auf dem geraden Weg nach Dürres. Zu spät holte ich den Reiseplan hervor, achja….wir wollten ja eigentlich auch Kruja ( Festung) besuchen…..in Albanien 2026 wohl nicht mehr!

Der Verkehr nahm zwischen Tirana und Dürres arg zu, etwas Stau und 185 km später standen wir in der zweitpreiswertesten Unterkunft dieser Tour, 50€ inkl. Frühstück, **** Relax Inn, absolute Empfehlung, alles niegelnagelneu.

Dürres ist nicht nur als Badestadt bekannt, sondern auch für sein Amphitheater. Da dieses bereits um 16:00 Uhr schließt, fuhren wir direkt dorthin. Das Theater selbst war nicht besonders beeindruckend, aber die Kirche im Amphitheater ist wirklich etwas Besonderes.  Übrigens ist sie Aspirant für das UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Wir hielten uns nicht lange im Amphitheater auf, der Strand lockte und ein kleines Hungerchen quälte uns auch.

Wir kehrten in der Nähe unseres Hotels ein, die Garnelen waren toll, der Service grottenschlecht, keine Empfehlung….


Emily wurde bespielt, das Hundemädchen war happy. Gleiches galt für einen heimatlosen Strandlümmel, der mich zum fressen gern hatte und ungeniert an meinem Badeanzug und Oberschenkel knabberte….Albanien ein Hundeurlaub🤣

Zum restlichen Abend gibt es nicht mehr viel zu erzählen….Sonnenuntergang am Strand, gutes Restaurant und ein Haufen Russen, die über Istanbul kommend in Albanien Urlaub machen.

Anbei noch ein paar Impressionen vom Strand und Strandpromenade.


Fazit zu Dürres: Halb so schlimm wie vor der Reise gedacht, ein Reiseziel für den nahen Osten, Russland sowie den Balkanländern. Deutsche in großer Anzahl, eher auf Durchreise. Der Strand ist eher deutscher Buddelkastensand, der Strand ist lang und vollgepackt mit Restaurants in allen Preisklassen.

Wir waren nicht ungluücklich über unseren Zwischenstop, für ein paar Tage zur Entspannung ist Dürres durchaus zu empfehlen.
